The late Alan Bentham Horrex

The death of Alan Bentham Horrex aged 92 years of White Cross Cottage, Broom Lane, Raglan occurred at home on 26^th August 2022.

The funeral service took place on Thursday 22^nd September at St Cadoc’s Church, Raglan with the Reverend Canon Tim Clements officiating. The organist Sir Richard Mynors accompanied the hymns “Thine be the glory”, “Guide me O thou great redeemer” and “He who would valiant be”. Recorded music played at a time of reflection, Mendelssohn’s Elijah – Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob

Exit music - Suffolk Regiment “Speed the Plough” and “Regimental Slow March”.

Bearers were, Ed Partridge, Oliver Partridge, Anthony Styles and William Barnard

Following the service a private committal took place at The Forest of Dean Crematorium

Donations in memory of Mr Horrex are to benefit SSAFA and Ukrainian Appeal for Bibles (Bible Society) and these are being received by Ernest Heal & Sons Funeral Directors, Chippenham Funeral Home, Howells Place, Monmouth NP25 3ED
